I am lucky enough to work in Scottish public policy, media relations, and corporate affairs.

As the Deputy Head for the Scottish Retail Consortium, I lead the Scottish Retail Consortium’s policy, strategy, media, and engagement work on food, sustainability, skills and economic policy. I’ve previously worked in corporate affairs for a large retailer, and in political communications.  I can also be found walking with our cockapoo Myrtle in the Pentland Hills, playing the bagpipes or golfing.

Things I write here in my own name are my own views. However, much of the material is actually done on behalf of various employers so those points are actually their view.  Which is a polite way of saying where I’ve totally contradictory opinions it’s probably because of who I was working for at the time.  Besides, consistency is the product of a lack of imagination.
